    This is the most advanced and updated method of calculating time required to complete a task. It’s very easy to create a spreadsheet on your computer or laptop that you can use to track time. Guideline to Create a Time Tracking Spreadsheet:

  1. Define the use of the spreadsheet:
    A time tracking spreadsheet is a generic sheet that you can use for work and personal purposes. The good news here is that you can use the same spreadsheet for office and home purposes putting work assignments and house chores on the same sheet.
  2. Divide each day into hours:
    Once you have created the spreadsheet with multiple columns and rows, you should start the work by putting date in the first column on the left side of the sheet. The next column includes the starting time of an assignment i.e. 10 am. The column after that includes the finish time of the assignment i.e. 11 am. The next column should include the duration of completion for each task i.e. it took you 40 minutes to finish lunch or a video conference with a customer lasted for 35 minutes.
  3. Write down the essentials for each task:
    This sheet doesn’t only track but it can also include further details for each assignment or task. For instance, if you noted the duration of a meeting with a client, you can also put the name of that client, the location of the meeting i.e. a restaurant and the purpose or agenda of that meeting i.e. close a deal. This way you can later use this sheet to evaluate and recall meetings and conferences.
